Aviad Cohen is an Israeli-born, NY/NJ raised Jew who follows Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ). He is using his God-given talents to produce music proclaiming the Good News to both Jews and Gentiles. This music is best described as Evangelical Electronic Music. There are three music albums available to date. "Hooked On The Truth" (2006), "Fire Starter" (2008) and the most recent "Good News To Mission Control" (2009). These CDs are used by many evangelists around the world to share the Good News, especially as outreach tools to educate and inspire Jews to read God's Word and receive everlasting life through Yeshua Messiah. This is cutting edge, Hebrew-Roots based music that reaches out to believers, encouraging them to keep on the narrow path, to evangelize and at the same time it introduces non-believers to who their Creator is and what His plan of salvation is for their lives.

Aviad has toured, ministered and performed his songs around the USA at Christian Churches, Messianic Congregations and Conferences. In 2007 he embarked on a 17-event Denmark tour through the organization Joffi Denmark, ministering at 16 Christian Boarding Schools and the Go 2007 Mission Konference. In 2008 Aviad decided to move back to his homeland Israel for 9 months, sharing the Good News with Israelis, Arabs and people of the nations as well as utilizing his creative talents to help various ministries. He moved back to the USA in July of 2008 and began working on his latest album "Good News To Mission Control." He has shared his testimony on TBN's "Praise The Lord" with host, Carman, on Sid Roth's "It's Supernatural" television program and Daystar's "Denver Celebration" with Ralph Messer.

Prior to following Yeshua Messiah in 2005, Aviad was internationally known as the Heeb-Hop Rapper, 50 Shekel. His viral internet hits "In Da Shul" and "Chanukah Jam" led him to touring at premiere Bar/Bat Mitzvahs around the USA. He has appeared on VH1's "So Jewtastic", Germany's ARTE and other television programs. Aviad has also graced the pages of Q, New York, Maxim's Blender and other magazine and newspaper publications as well as radio programs.

This ministry is unique in the sense that Aviad Cohen is an Israeli, a descendant of the Levitical Priesthood, was raised in a Conservative and Orthodox Jewish family, famous within the framework of Jewry as a celebrated music artist and then made an abrupt controversial move at the peak of his career and veered away from man-made religion and toward God and His Word and that included following Yeshua Messiah, and boldly proclaiming the truth to thousands of Jewish and Gentiles children and adults on his website. The Forward, The Jerusalem Post, Beliefnet and Google's "Current TV" broke the story and it traveled all around the world that the "King of Heeb-Hop Leaves The Fold (The Jerusalem Post).  Aviad has an intriguing testimony and an understanding of how to share the Good News with Jews in a way that makes simple sense to them. He also has a heart for outreach towards the youth as well as the lost that are intrigued as to how and why a Jew follows Jesus Christ, who is The King of The Jews.

Aviad has at times been the target of criticism and persecution by Jewish Counter-Missionaries and the Jewish community at large, but all in all many of them are still intrigued by his testimony and music. There are some Jewish Counter-Missionaries that have told Aviad that they enjoy his music. Aviad states, "We have to be patient with the Jewish people. God has His own timetable as to when He takes the scales off the eyes of each Jew and reveals to them that Yeshua is their Messiah and calls them to repentance. As a Jew who at a time was not a believer, I know that Jews are looking at God and His Word as well as viewing Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ through religiously traditional manipulated filters, ignorant of the Word of God and culturally fumed by misdirected anger towards Christians instead of those who were the real perpetrators of Jewish persecution during the Inquisition, Crusades and Holocaust. The Christians were not involved in this, but rather another religious group that claims to be Christian but goes under another religious name. As followers of Yeshua Messiah we are called to pray for and love our enemies as well as share the Good News throughout all four corners of the earth. With God all is possible. There have been many reports of how Jews and Gentiles have come to follow Yeshua Messiah by God using this music that He inspires me to create to minister to the lost.

God is in control. He does not want anyone to perish, but instead wants them to have a personal relationship with Him instead of following any man-made religion, to repent and to have everlasting life through His Son Yeshua Messiah. If He can use a Jew like me who has no idea how to read or write music but through the grace of God still composes, produces and released music, which ministers to people all around the world, He can use you too to share His Good News in a unique way that He has planned for you.
